Peter Damian the proprietor arranged a tour of three and a half weeks for us, starting with a visit to the Lakshadweep Islands and then a tour of Kerala. He took the time to understand what activities would appeal to us and what standard of accommodation we were looking for. He included travel by train and private car hire and the homestay and hotels were great - we were looking for midrange and interesting rather than five star luxury. We had to change our inventory due to illness and Peter was extremely responsive and helpful in rearranging our trip to fit in with the changes. He was also great at explaining our options and about life in Kerala.

Alton Convent School

Review

Alton Convent School was founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of Providence, an order which has houses all around the world including Varanasi in Northern India where our Sixth Form travels bi-annually. Peter Damian of ImagesIndia was recommended by the Sisters as a reliable and honest tour operator. We found him to be most accommodating and helpful in the planning of our 3 week trip. He was always on call to answer our queries and remained in contact with us for our entire trip. He arranged for us to have a wide range of Indian experiences and ensured we saw as many of the iconic sights as possible. He is currently organising our next visit and we highly recommend him.

We spent 5 weeks travelling the length and breadth of India, on a tight budget, as part of Caitlin's gap year. Peter Damian was highly recommended to us and he did not disappoint. He arranged an amazing and varied itinery, constantly tweaking destinations and hotels at my request. We travelled from Assam in the north east to Kerala in the south west, passing through Mumbai, Kolkatta, Delhi, Udaipur, Chennai, Madurai and Kochi. We travelled on trains (including a 36 hour cross country trip), on planes and in private cars. We had an elephant safai in Kazaranga and a traditional landrover one in Ranthambore, a speed boat trip on Lake Pichola and a relaxing overnight stay in a private house boat on the Keralan Backwaters. We stayed in eco lodges, homestays, fairly basic hotels and the also the occasional upgrade to more luxurious ones. We had great guides and drivers who not only ensured we visited the usual tourist sites but took us to traditional, non touristy restaurants and bazaars. They met us at airports and deposited us at train stations ensuring we got on the right carriage. Peter regularly checked in with us by phone to ensure there were no problems but our whole trip was incident free. I would definitely recommend Peter Damian and his team if you are planning a trip to India and I would use him again if I ever get a chance to return.

Having been to Kerela twice on standard tours, we decided we wanted to do something different this time. We asked Peter to organise a tour for us with 'local' stays and different activities, together with some of the 'must dos' such as a houseboat (the best one we have stayed on). Peter organised a superb tour, with stays at some wonderful homestays, local cookery lesson, canal boat trip, cycling etc. We had a brilliant driver. At every destination Peter was on the phone to check everything was ok. We will definitely use Peter again, the question now is North India, Sri Lanka or Kerela....or maybe all three!

My first travel to India was a perfet 25th wedding aniversary with a friendly driver from the beginning to the end. My husband and I really enjoyed, and we want to go back again! Thank you Peter and all other members. If you are looking for a perfect one, ask Peter, he is so reliable and friendly.

We have travelled to India a couple of times with formal groups but this time thought we would like to see areas of India not necessarily on the tourist trail.   We had met Peter Damien from ImagesIndia when he had been involved with a previous trip to Kerala, so approached him directly to put together a trip of a lifetime in Northern India.  He presented us with an imaginative programme, arranged every moment of our trip - drivers, guides, hotels, transport and we were able to travel at our own pace not with a big group. Everyone we met or came into touch with had been fully briefed by Peter to ensure that we saw the very best of every destination.l   It was the best organised holiday I have ever had - Peter was professional and really knew his stuff!  He checked in by phone with us at every destination and could not have been more helpful, a true professional.  He is an impossible act to follow - we'll have to go back to India!
